Lulu ("we", "us", "our") is a kids party venue in Washington State. Parties are held at our venue at 11909 124th Ave NE, Kirkland, WA 98034. This Privacy Notice explains what information we collect when you visit our website or book a party with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. Information we collect
- What you send us through the booking form. Our website booking form is how enquiries reach us. It typically carries a parent's name, e-mail address, phone number, the date and time you would like, the number of guests, and anything you add in the message field.
- Party details. Whatever you tell us so we can prepare the room — the birthday child's age, the theme you have in mind, food allergies, and any accessibility needs for your guests.
- Notes from our conversations. If you call, text or e-mail us about a booking, we keep a short record so the whole team knows what was agreed.
- Photos taken at the venue. Only with your permission — see "Photos at the venue" below.
- Browser and device data. Like most websites, our servers log IP address, browser type, pages viewed and timestamps. We use this to keep the site secure and to see which pages are actually helpful.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See "Cookies and analytics" below.
We do not take card or bank details on this website. There is no online payment at present: we agree payment with you directly once your date is confirmed.
Why we use your information
- To answer your enquiry and confirm your date and time.
- To prepare the room, the decorations and any add-ons you asked for, and to reach you on the day if anything changes.
- To send you booking updates and, if you have opted in, occasional news about the venue. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep the venue safe and to meet our obligations around health, safety and insurance.
- To improve the website and the way we run parties.
- To comply with legal obligations and to resolve disputes.
Legal basis
We process your information on one or more of these bases: your consent (for example, when you submit the booking form or agree to photos), our legitimate interest in running and improving the venue, and the performance of our agreement with you once a party is booked.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the team members who need it to run your party, and with the small number of trusted service providers we rely on to operate — website hosting, e-mail delivery and accounting. Those providers are bound by confidentiality and use the data only on our behalf. We will also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is needed to protect people's safety and our legal rights.
Retention
We keep booking records for as long as we have an active relationship with you, and afterwards for the period needed for tax, accounting and dispute-resolution purposes (typically up to seven years). Mailing-list data is kept until you unsubscribe. Photos are kept only as long as the consent you gave allows.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of marketing e-mail at any time. You can also ask us in writing not to "sell" or "share" your data — we do not, but you are welcome to have that confirmed. Washington State residents have additional rights under the Washington My Health My Data Act and Washington's consumer data privacy framework. Cookies and analytics
We use a small set of cookies to keep the site working (session, security, your preferences) and — only with your consent — analytics cookies that show us which pages are useful. You can review and change your choices at any time through the cookie banner. Declining analytics cookies does not affect your ability to book a party.
Photos at the venue
We love sharing what happens here, but never without asking. We will ask the booking parent before taking any photo or video that we might use on our website or social media, and you can say no without it affecting your booking in any way. If a guest prefers not to appear, tell us on the day and we will keep them out of frame. You can ask us to remove a published image of your child at any time and we will take it down.
Children's privacy
Our website and booking process are meant for parents and guardians. We follow the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, and an adult completes every booking. If you believe a child has given us information without your consent, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — TLS encryption in transit, encrypted backups and access limited to the people who need it — to protect what you share with us. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your information with care and will tell you about any incident affecting it as the law requires.
Changes to this notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. If a change is significant we will say so on the homepage or let you know by e-mail.
